Greetings!

I have this installed, along with the latest Java VM and Java Access Bridge, as suggested in the Open Office documentation. I can read, move arround, and do simple edits on a document in the Write program (That's the analog of MS Word). Some of the menus and dialogues don't behave as one would expect. Also, the Calc (that's the Excel analog) appears to be useless with JFW. I'd like to hear from anyone who has experiences with OO and JFW 6.2. Just curious.

Cheers,

My experience was very similar and I was using Jaws 7 for what that's worth. I'm frankly disappointed that Freedom has seen fit to add any number of bells and whistles over the past few years, but has yet to get their java support up to snuff.
I experienced a lot of double reading on menu bars, as well as weirdness in general in dialog boxes.
I only played with write. After that, I was too discouraged to even try Calc.

It's unfortunate that Java support is so flakey. Is the trouble in JFW or in Access Bridge? Anyone have experience with Javan aps and Voice-over? What of Orka?

Try running beta 4 of the access bridge if you arn't already I've heard it's better, but haven't tried my self. I think the fault is in both the access bridge and the screen reader.

Thank you!

I am running some Beta of the Access Bridge; will make sure it's 4. If not, I'll upgrade and try again.

Cheers,
